Jim and Carol Laub Athletic Center at Romney Stadium

This was a CM/GC project at the north end zone of Romney Stadium. It was an 18 million dollar facility built for 10.5 million dollars. It included the pouring of over 3200 yards of concrete in the construction of this 63,000 sq ft, 3-story training facility. It features new locker rooms, coaches’ offices, and hydro-therapy pools. Extensive value engineering was performed to maximize the building with limited funds. The result of the value engineering was the availability of funds to add a third floor on to the building to serve as a Student Academic Center. The three story portion of the building was required to be built in an 8 month window from the final football game to the first game of the next season.
